I just started on 1000 mg of Biaxin and 200 mg of Mino last week. I'm now getting to the point where I can't seem to hold any food down. I feel fine for about 1/2 an hour after I eat and then all of a sudden I'm just really nauseous and lose it.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is there anything that helps it?

I just finished 20 days of biaxin and i lost 6 lbs. In the beginning I couldn't keep anything down, after a few days i lost all appetite completely. ( i think it has something to do with the horrible aftertaste!) good luck (believe me the nausea is much worse with an empty stomach.)

Yes,

I get very nauseous when I take my antibiotics with magnesium, or any food fortified with magnesium or calcium, like tofu.

Otherwise, the wise thing to do might be to either lower your dosage, or switch to something else.
I would definitely check with your doctor.

I had that happen with doxy and flagyl. Sometimes it was just a matter of having a little food first, but at others, nothing helped.

Also, like many others, I had a strong reaction to mino at first and had to ramp up slowwwwwly. 200mg is actually a high dose to start out on.
