I just wrote this to a friend who I was working with this morning.. and I thought perhaps you may someday need this little letter to pass along to YOUR friends.

Dear Friend,

I am just plain old STUPID I guess.

I am sitting around here waiting to bite someone's head off... I don't know WHY... but that is how I feel. Nothing specific or wrong other than the usual.. a bit of a fever maybe... blurry vision a bit... cranky and irritable. Nothing really horrible at the moment... but NOT right either. Ya know that feeling?

And then I realized.... DUH ME!

I ALWAYS herx on the 3rd to 4th day after starting Mepron.

And guess what...

Today is the 3rd day after starting Mepron.....

ONCE AGAIN... DUH ME!

It's a-coming!

So... you shall be the first to hear the following...

Please accept my appologies if I sound grumpy or out of sorts. By the end of the day I will be in bed with the covers pulled up over my head.. hiding from life. I will be yet another victim of a Mepron herx.

Do NOT listen to a word I say.. and if I approach you.. RUN for your life!

Since I can no longer hunt with the big dogs.. I will waddle off the porch.

I will then resort to slithering with the slymie creatures in a near-by ditch, as I am sure to feel lower than a snakes belly.

See you when it is all over, dear friend.

Actually...

Hopefully later today?

Yeah right. You may have to just grin and bear it if you want my responses or opinions.

And for your own safety... do NOT try to make sense to me about anything right now. Anything you say or do will NOT be right in my eyes... so accept it and move on. HA!

Love, meeeeeeeeee

Ohhhh, TC, sorry about the horrific herxing........but that is a good thing, right?

Kinda crazy, huh?
See the light......at the end of the tunnel?

I do not personally know yet as to the physical pain you are feeling, but the craziness in the head, YOU BET!

I have however been around my mom during episodes like this one, not pretty.......RUN FOR YOUR LIFE is about right.

Then you feel bad for leaving someone in that condition, but I know when I am feeling like poo, I too just want to be left alone and for it to be quiet, would be nice!

This too shall pass.......LOVE SENT TO YOU!!

P.S. Yes, I for one will be saving this letter for future use.

Perfectly understandable tincup.

My wife knows, bless her heart, to stay away from me as much as she can when I get to herxin. At least now we know what it's like and what's causeing it. It was rougher not knowing...I'm sure she was ready to put me in a "home".

Gotta feel bad to feel good....hang in there buddy and know we're all pullin for ya!

Well... at least we know it's working, right?

Though I KNOW that meprony-herxy feeling (and I hope I NEVER have to go through that again!) I'm pullin' for ya babe.

Don't forget, a shower, not too hot, and then back to bed always helps you feel a little more comfortable... or it does for me.

I'm thinking of you, Tinny!

Chopin, Etude, OP 25, #7 (3/03)

Hope you feel better soon!

Hey Tincup!

I've been thinking about you and hoping that you will be feeling perky again real soon. Drink lots of water and try and get out for a good walk everyday. I know that is easier said than done when you are herxing, but it does make you feel somewhat better once you have done it. Look after yourself sweetie!

Cheers!
Jeannie

Hey hey..

Blink your eyes and the post ends up on page FIVE!

I couldn't find this to get back to you all to say thanks for thinking of me and for all the well-wishes.

I THINK it is safe to come out of the bear cave now... ?? But better keep a guard up just in case.

Actually... not to sound disappointed... but the herx kinda came and went without much TOO much horrible!

LUCKY ME!!!

That is the way to herx! For sure!

But thank you all for the pretty pics... hehehe

The music to dance to... in my dreams...

And the kind thoughts.

I guess going slow and easy with the meds is paying off.

Soooooo... smart me has increased them!

Ah HA!

We all KNOW what happens when I try to do that... so put on your fastest shoes and get ready to run if the prayers don't work NEXT go around.

HA!

Thanks again all you fruitcakes...

You make me smile!
