Hello,

I took a week off ABX last week because of ab pain and off and on diarrhea. It never really did clear up. And im still having pain? NOT hospital pain though!

Its kinda an all over pain, but then i will get sharp pains out of nowhere. Not on one specific side either. It moves. I just dont know what to do.

It feels like my old IBS pain. I made an appointment with my GI guy.

I started my ABX again yesterday.

Could all of this be lyme related? I dont feel like im herxing. My LLMD was of no help. She told me to just take a vicoprofen. That does help, but i want to know WHY this is going on.

Anyone have any ideas or experience?

Im just worried. Im trying to find the correct balance of acidophilus.

Buggy & DMC,

I just got my blood work results and they are fine. My LLMD runs the test on me every month.

I just ordered saccharomyces boulardii. Its another type of probiotic that is suppose to be good for diarrhea from ABX.

I wish i could eat some food that i know would be easy on my GI track. But, they are all terrible for yeast.

Im eating the worst foods for an irritated bowel, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and nut butters. And no, its not gas pain LOL.

Thanks for your ideas!

Jordan,

Have you recently increased magnesium? Too much magnesium can cause diarrhea and cramping.

I would suggest eating a bland diet even though it's not the best for the yeast. YOur body needs calories nutrition - otherwise you will get even worse. eating veggies is great but not when you have such severe GI problems.

Rice isn't bad for yeast and might bind you up a bit.... even soup isn't so bad... just focus on getting something down. i did this and have not had any yeast problems - just take lots of probiotics.

Artbyjess:

I think that is part of the major problem.

If you have IBS you are not supposed to eat high fat foods. But, with the mepron, thats what i have to eat.

I guess this is not part of LD.
