Quick question, other than zith/mepron combo has anyone been on any other combo's to treat Babesia? I was perscribed zith/mep and my insurance doesn't cover it and I can't afford the high price of the mep. Just searching for other remedies.

I also cant afford mepron. So my doctor has me on Ten days Clyindimyicin and Quinine and alternate ten days with ceftin(or amoxicillin)I have already taken amoxi so he put me on ceftin.
You take cly first for a few days then introduce the quinine the first time you do it to make sure you dont have a reaction to the meds by doing one at a time you can tell if one upsets you.

It so far hasnt been bad on me but i think also perhaps the load you have makes a difference. The fourth day was rough had chills and hot spells but they passed. Mostly headache, Joint pain and weakness.
But so far tolerable.
