Welcome, and remember when you read these boards that we are a combo of the newly diagnosed, and the hard core folks who have a hard time getting well.

In order to become one of these success stories, I recommend you read all you can get your hands on, so you can participate intelligiently in your treatment.

Get an experienced, highly recommended Lyme doctor, and stick with it. If you don't have one already, go to the section called Seeking a doctor to make a request.

Either way, you can get to a point (as I am), where you feel normal most of the time. My last symtom is some stiffness in my ankles, evry once in a while. I work full time, run , cycle, and generally forget about lyme unless Im posting here.

I concider myself a late catch, neuro lymie, that had two coinfections. I was sick. I was diagnosed , and started abx in june of 2001, and went off the "dope" in october of 2003. I manage lyme with a good diet, stress free life, herbs , the rife machine and my bike.

You can and will get your life back with a proper attitude, knowledge, and care for your condition. MAKE LYME YOUR FOCUS RIGHT NOW. You should be doing everything you can to get well. ...I ate organic, drank only purified water, and turned into what my family called a health kook. Put verything else on the back burner. Just get well. Its your new job.

I am still pretty careful with the diet, but Im back to having a few beers, and my cheeto addiction has been reinstated. Things will get back to normal.

For me adopting a marathon runners approach really helped. You know your going to be doing it a while, so just slow down and fight the good fight..

Its hard looking around. Some people just realize that everyone here is sick, and do not realize that some of them are not and dedicate their time to coming back and helping, and others have flat out run away from this board

I'm with you on this. As you know, my entire family has gotten PAST the "horrors" of Lyme and are living a "Normal" life again atlast. I only pop in from time to time to see if I can help anyone who is still stuggling.

I received so much help here when we were struggling and I made a promise to come back and return the favors, if and when I could. I do a lot of work "behind" the scenes, but I do try to make an appearance here as much as I possibly can.

So, yes, you can beat this and you can move on.

p.s. I forgot to mention that it wasn't just abx that got us through the dark forest. We addressed Candida, parasites, etc. It has made ALL the difference.
