Okay this is brand new. Now i have been on clyndimicyn and quinine. Seemed when i took it i herxed bad in my back especially lower back.

Well for about three days this week my left hip was killing me from center of my back to outide of hip felt like arther. Then i found if i moved with my back arched the pain would go away. So figured a pinched nerve. Took pain meds and advil to sleep.

Then today i havent taken my babs meds and the pain in the center of my back is gone. But now my left leg feels achey but from my knee down on the outside of my leg to the top of my foot is numb. Like its gone to sleep.

Sounds like nerves but now the one in my back isnt hurting so what in the world. Is this from the babs med. I notice when i take it my back gets worse so im trying not to take it today and see what happends now its just aching in the joint of my left leg but not in the small of my back and still if i arch my lower back even that leaves.

Just wondering does babs cause this? or something else going on?
Got any ideas guys>?
Graneet

I had hip/back pain and my LLMD said he though it may be Lyme related. He ordered an xray of the hip & an MRI of the spine to rule out a compression of a nerve. He mentioned that Lyme can cause numbness of the extremities.

Have you had an MRI of your spine to rule out any disc/nerve issues?

hi,
no havent had an mri. Probably wont unless it continues and stays so bad. I dont have insurance so trying to avoid any other expenses unless absolutely necesary. Right now using a heating pad.

My back was one of the worst places to ache when i started the babs treatment so wondered if this was some kind of reaction to the meds. I know lyme gets into areas like that but didnt think babs did.

If i suck in my tummy it causes my back to go out and the pain eases in my hip. So it must be a nerve or something effecting the nerve.

Thank you for responding wondered if anyone else has a similar reaction to meds. Next to fatigue my back muscles has been the worst.
Thanks
Graneet

Hi Graneet...I have had the numbness in much the same place. Also, just left side. Dr did alot of nerve conduction tests, and got nothing out of it, except that I definatly had a problem. Spent alot of ins $, and basically got nothing out of it. So save your hard earned $. Mine got better thru treatment. When this was at it's peak - I could scratch just below & to the left of my knee - and feel it in the top of my foot, to the left side. Very strange indeed. If my memory serves me right (which it sometimes doesn't) it seems it was after some babs treatment that it went away. At it's very worst - it hurt like a burn or nerve pain, but that stopped & has never returned - thank God. Hope you don't get to experience that one. I've never been on the drug combo your on, so I would think it would be more lyme or babs related since I had it also. The nerves are affected so greatly by all these bugs so hang in there & hopefully it will pass with your treeatment. Did you just start babs meds? Feel better...~Cindy~

thank you cindy,
Glad it wouldnt make a difference if i did go to doc. Seems like its always something which demands tests and money. Fine if ya got it but other wise got to hunt other sorces of relief.

right now just using heat and pain meds. It didnt hurt in the middle last night until i made the mistake of rolling from left to right bad mistake so miserable today. Pain and numbness that numb feeling is so weird feeling. But figure its a nerve and babs doing something. wondered if anyone else had it so Not that im glad you did but glad others have had issues the same. Couldnt have done anything to hurt it do cant do much anyway.

So taking meds today again beings it really wasnt what kept it from hurting yesterday.
Thank you so much for responding
graneet
