I am hilucinating(sp?)seeing things like shadows in my room. I am also hearing things that aren't there. My ears are pounding like there is a drum in my ear canal. I have broken out in an extremely itchy rash and I feel like fleas are all over me and biting me. When I look to see what it is there is nothing there.

I AM SO SICK OF THIS!

I can't sleep and I am so tired! I took benedryl all day long and nothing is helping. I took a bath in baking soda and that didn't help. My neck and chest are covered with hives. I also feel like I have a fever.

Anyone have any suggeestions? I have not been on any new meds that I haven't been on before.

UGH!! I am going to jump out of my skin!! The pain is still bad as well.
Thank for listening.

Nancy

Nancy,

Nancy,

I am about 99 % sure you have candida very bad - like my son had.

You need to immediately:

1) Call LLMD, say you think you have candida very bad

2) LLMD should put you on Nystatin pills right away - 2 tablets 3 X/day (if he/she determines this is Candida)

3) You should get LLMD to give you a prescription for atarax (for itching - works better than over the counter benadryl) - and take it every 4 -6 hours (LLMD can give you the proper dose).

4) Avoid excessive physical activity/exertion - e.g. anything that makes your blood circulate more quickly in your body. This increased blood flow to the candida inside your body makes you itch more!

5) You must be religious with the acidophilis

6) I recommend you get yourself a copy of the "Kaufman diet" - a strict diet for folks with candida (very low sugar, and other restrictions) - and stick very closely to it.

7) Your Dr. can tell if your stomach is blown up if you have candida, also stool cultures should be sent out to confirm candida

IF YOU DO ALL THE ABOVE, YOU WILL STOP MOST OF THE ITCHING WITHIN ABOUT 4 DAYS - but you have to stick with it!!!!! If this is candida like I think it is - you will be battling it for a while. (You will not be cured - just under control in terms of the itching)

If you can't get candida under control doing the above, the best place to go is the Ash Center in NY, NY - Dr. Richard Ash.

Lastly, all that other stuff (ears ringing, etc) is part of your Lyme symptoms and/or your herx). Welcome to the nightmare world of lyme. Just try not to plan to stay for long.....

P.S. I found out that with my son - whose candida started out like yours but got even worse, THE BATH MADE IT WORSE. He always broke out with the external hives/rash - after coming out of the bath.

P.S.S. If you "do" have bad candida, you MUST take care of it immediately and properly or you may find yourself unable to take the antibiotics as prescribed by your LLMD - to rid yourself of the Lyme.

Lots of luck,

Sandy

Nancy,
It's possible to be allergic to a medication, even if you've taken it before.

In your one post, you said you had started taking Flexeril again.
Yes, the hives might start a day or two after taking the med.

Maybe you should stop the Flexeril until you talk to a pharmacist or your doctor.

I'm not familiar with Candida, but it sure sounds like Sandy is.

I wonder if capsacian cream would dull the sensation of insects on your legs.
DON'T use it on hives !!

I've also heard of using a hairbrush softly on the skin to ease pain sensations; it confuses the nerves.
Maybe that would work on the "bugs."

I hope you've gotten ahold of your doc.

Carol

Nancy,

I never mentioned "hives" when speaking about the Candida. (Just thought of this when reading Carol's post). Hives are more likely due, as Carol said, to an allergic reaction. The Candida will just give you itching and rashes. But external hives, characterized by all the swelling/bumps, etc - I don't think this is Candida.
