This is the link to my previous post :
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/027027.html

--- I asked my doctor about retesting for syphills and Lyme disease, he says no.

He dont even want me to test for lyme disease.

What do I do ? And someone put me straight about the syphilis matter.
ALso my last syphilis test was at 3 months, using blood test.

Does Syphilis take longer to show up ??

I havent had any rash or anything on my palm or bottom of my foot. Do people with syphilis always get that ???

Also I asked him for lyme disease test he says with a big phat, NO.

Hi Ben,

Sorry you can't get a diagnosis. To get adequate treatment you've just got to have the correct diagnosis.

A more knowledgeable & caring physician also should have done a thorough physical exam & would have detected obvious outer signs.

Until others visit this post with some better answers for you all I can really suggest is that you e-mail Lisa again & ask for names of sexual health clinics near you.

Also, re: your first post ------ did you read the very last post on page 2 about testing much later for syphilis.

Someone else had suggested you write down the names of 2 tests for syphilis which are not usually run initially. Sounds like you do need those tests run.

Call an LLMD closest to you & ask for a doctor who would test & treat you aggressively for a possible STD.

No one can say for sure what you have, but there are many knowledgeable folks on this board that might can help point you in the right direction.

Have you tried the county health department?
Just a thought.
Take Care,
Jan

w4lmfff~
The people on this board have been pretty responsive to you. But you keep coming back with excuses and with details that I personally find offensive.

Once was ok.

Twice? Its time to see a doctor or call your parents.

IMHO

Did you actually SHOW the doctor your uh, area?

If not, do that.

You could have herpes( it CAN go to the brain) we dont know. We're a lyme board. You could have lyme, we dont know. The only way TO know if you have lyme, AND to get treatment for it is to see a LLMD.

Talk to your parents.
