Hi Graneet,

First of all, don't buy vitamins or anything like that from Wal Mart, there quality is extremely bad. You need to go to your local health food store and get "Primadolphilus", it has 2.5 billion organisms per capsule and is very effective.

Good luck to you and hope things start looking up soon,
K-lyme

I agree. Never, ever buy supplements from Wal-Mart or any supermarket for that matter. The quality is no where near that of a health food store.

In addition, supplements from other sources typically contain fillers, preservatives, additives and artificial ingredients. Very difficult for your body to break down. So, typically, any value of the supplement will be washed right out.

Another good probiotic is Enzymatic Therapy "Pearls". They stay intact until they reach your digestive tract - where you need it the most.

Do they carry it or do they order it for you? My Wal-Mart doesn't have it...I don't think.

I know this is not helping you, but I can't find the Mag tab SR either at my local Walmart.

FWIW, I'm taking 4/day Magnesium Citrate tablets from Solgar. It's highly absorbable and free of yeast, wheat, soy, dairy products and was formulated without the use o preservatives, flavors and colors (according to label.) The Citrate is what makes it highly absorbable.

Ah, yes, the "asking the pharmacist" approach should help, right?

Wrong!

I asked two pharmacists at my Walmart. First pharmacist was an assistant, but looked at me as if I was from the moon when I mentioned Mag SR from Niche pharmaceuticals.

Then I waited for the pharmacist in charge. Again, I was looked at like I was from the moon. "Nope, what we have is on the shelf out there."

Go figure. Guess chocolat was lucky, and I was unlucky. Okay, so now noone has to go figure.

But it's just so typical. These daily little [supposedly] simple things, quickly turn into time consuming frustrating "go-back-there-10-times" "but-I've-heard-you-have-it" things.....kind of like having Lyme, now that I think of it...and I'm thinking bout that ALL THE TIME...ooops, this is a tangent right?....ooops, yes it is, but at least it's about Lyme now....

OK. I'm done now. Did that help you any, Graneet?

Michael

Thanks to all of you for responding.
I went to three different pharmacys hunting magisium serate and none of them had it. Was trying to avoid the health stores cause they usually cost so much.

I had one bottle of the mag and was on it with vit c and was going preaty good. But now i feel like nothings wanting to work accept when it wants to.

Dr C said constipation is a no no. His protical is one thousand mg adding a thousand up to fifteen then back off till ya go three times a day. I had one day it did that and now on revolt. More like wait three days then go.
Think i got yeast going on to i am on the refrigerated lactibolis (?) But i got a goofy cold drink craving and drank to many. I know dumb dumb dumb. Hope i can get this yeast undercontrol. Its not bad but i know its brewing suttly. So i hope if i take enough of this stuff it will slow it down.

Thank you for the name brands i will check into those the acidophlus dont sound to expensive for eight dollars.
Thank you all once again for your help.
