I took my 4yr. old to the Dr. and he felt the hair loss was normal due to the lack of other symptoms. Anyways, I mentioned Lyme and he said some of the Camp A things. He even told me that some people who are not licensed ask him to give the RX for ABs. He felt that this was a get rich scheme for some people and to be careful! Not that people do not get Lyme, but cautioned about the absence of a postive on a Elisa test. I know some of you are getting worked-up at this point! I hate this! Why is there so much doubt! I am tired of people not beliving me and accepting Lyme. I know go see an LLMD! I have even heard of an 80 year old lady who has a lot of money, and has tried everything and still is not well. She has spent a fortune . . . scary to think that could be me. I guess I just need some help and understanding. Yes, I have read the facts and websites. Just angry, and unwilling to put my kids through this if it is not necessary!

Hey gone...

You sound frustrated. So sorry.

Join the club!

I am also sorry to hear your GP isn't helping you with the situation.

I am not sure what you want us to do to help at this point?

You said..

"I have even heard of an 80 year old lady who has a lot of money, and has tried everything and still is not well. She has spent a fortune . . . scary to think that could be me."

Yes.. it is true.. money can't always buy happiness or cures.

And no offense to folks who are older.. but especially someone 80 years old who is chronically ill... no matter how much money they spend... they may not feel like they are 25 years old again.

It is called "life"... and sometimes we have to deal with the hand we've been dealt. Like it or not... sad to say.

You said..

"Just angry, and unwilling to put my kids through this if it is not necessary!"

I am sorry I don't understand what you don't want to put your kids through.

You being sick? Or them going to ducks? Or you or them going to a LLMD?

If you could elaborate on that comment.. perhaps we could come up with some suggestions.

By the way.. noticed I used a BIG word in that last section? "Elaborate".

I hope I spelled it right...

Hey tutu... or my favorite spell checker, Charlie.... what's the verdict on the spelling?

~smile~

Anyhow... please let us know how we can help.

We will be happy to try.

Well, I am sorry that I have not read your other post, maybe you could fill me in with the links to them, or just give me some other symptoms of what your daughter is going through.

For me it is totally worth it to at least try for my daughters sake.

They both have problems. I would say the 7yr old is the worst. I think I am seeing some imporovement so far. She is just in her 2nd week of meds. She has major "ADHD" symptoms.

I understand the frustrations.....believe me I do, but at least try. I would not give up before 6 months of meds, at least. Especially for your child. He/she deserves it!

Take care, Amanda
