I have a question about negative reactions to antibiotics. I took Ketek for the first time about four weeks ago. I took it for two weeks. I've been off it and all other meds for nearly two weeks. That's the background.

I woke up this morning with a rash on both sides of my back. I saw the Physician's Assistant (PA) to my LLMD. She thinks that the rash might be a reaction to the Ketek. I don't see how it could be a reaction to Ketek since I took it two weeks ago. In other words, I didn't react right away to the Ketek. In fact, I really felt nothing on it.

The question of the moment is this. Has anyone developed (or heard of) a negative reaction to an antibiotic more than a week after taking it AND stopping it? I haven't been on it for nearly two weeks.

Thanks,
Scott
