I was just wondering about my test on Monday with IGENEx. I am positive with Bowen and I have been taking Rocephin and Fligyl for more then a week now.

I know with Bowen it does not affect the test if you are taking meds but is it the same with Igenex???? With Bowen it came back 1:32 and Babesia positive.

I have to do the IGENEX because some docs don't even know about Bowen. But then again they were not LLMD's...UHhhhh this is stressing me out. Anyone had the same experience????

IMO, and I've seen it over and over again, you probably will have a better chance of getting a positive WB because of the abx.

My first Igenex test was taken a couple of weeks after my first session of abx. It came out Igenex positive, but, not CDC positive.

I went on a finished up a 4.5 round of abx and had another one done. I came up CDC positive that time.

I've seen this happen over and over, again and again. Your right, most doctors do not know what they are looking at when seeing the Bowen test.

My LLMD, a very respected one at that, only uses Igenex for the WB tests. I believe that most of the majority of the LLMDs do use the Igenex test from what I've read over several years.

I'm surprised that you were able to even get someone to order the Bowen test.
