She said if that was my only symptom with out fever and other things that it probably isn't babesia.

She said people with Babesia usually are much sicker than I am. Most of my symptoms are neuro and are slight at that.

Has anyone had Babesia with just night sweats or just heart palps?

I started taking Artemsinin today and we'll see if I get a herx from it or not.

If I don't herx does that mean I don't have it or is there no guarantee?

I tested positive for babesia and don't ever recall having fevers. I did however have the night sweat problem pretty bad. I was on mepron and zith together for about 4 months. After about 2 months I didn't have the night sweats anymore, so hopefully the babesia was taken care of. I haven't been on Mepron in 3 months now.

tritchie1,
Thanks for the rely. How bad were your night sweats? I've only had them occasionally. A few nights a month or so. When I have them I'm sweating like crazy but they are far between.
Were yours every night or every once in a while?

My sweats were mostly every night. I don't recall too many nights I didn't have it.

Hi Lenny,

In the beginning before I even knew I had lyme or babesia... the only symptoms that I really had were occasional night sweats, and I mean very occasional... and heart palpations here and there..... so, yes, I think they can be the only symptoms that appear in some people initially.. once I started treatment though I developed more neuro symptoms (after treatment for lyme, before they found out I had Babesia also)... hope your feeling better soon! Hang in there...

Steph

Hi Lenny,

I didn't hardly have any night sweats. Some heart palps (rare though) and sometimes low temp, barely noticable. I tested positive for babs too. I did 5 months of mepron/zith and I still don't think its gone yet. I recently had a bought of bad night and day sweats with a low grade temp.

Hope that helps.

Hi Lenny!

Did you ask her to at least test you for it?Most LLMDS treat for babs regardless of the test results, if there are symptoms, which it seems you have. I doubt that she would do that but with a positive test.....
