I do know that there was a lot of talk about Samento during this past Spring.
You may want to learn how to search through those posts. How to use the Lymenet Search :

I'm very lucky-my PCP is the one who finally diagnosed me with LD after many referrals to neuros and mulitples of test. I even went to the famous UTSW in Dallas who told me I was basically mental. I also see a neuro here in Bedford, Tx. Apparently there are only a handful here in Tx that really work with LD. And I normally pay out of pocket but unfortunately I haven't been able to see him in several months. He had me on a regimine but I gradually weaned myself off in July after I was feeling great. I've just now had a relapse so I'm guessing I'm having to start all over. Samento just really makes me break out and I'm 39!! I have never had an acne problem until I started treatments.

SAMENTO..... Yes, I take Samento 600mg to 1800mg a day. I feel that it definitely helps me. I am now moff all antibiotics, as they were making me sicker. I only have Lyme. I have always tested positive for Lyme, and not for any co-infections. I believe it. The doctor I now go to says I should up the Samento when ever possible, and she has me on a lot of supplements... E-mail me if you want more specifics.... Laczi

Are you taking pills? I'm taking liquid form and I'm up to 12 drops a day. Was advised to take it slow as it is very powerful and may cause major herx. I'm on a regimen of homeopathics as well as arx due to a major relapse.
Are you on a specific regimen?

Hi Team Mom!
Welcome to Lyme Net
Is your PCP rx'ing the rocephin and doxy? If so that's a rarity around here. Your lucky to have him/her!
I was in the original study for Samento. That was before they had the liquid. After a year of it, some other alternative stuff and no abx., I went into remission. Then I had sinus surgery and relapsed.
I've done 6 months of abx. since then and am currently off.....hoping I'm in remission again. If I do relapse, I'm going to go the Samento route.
Of course everyone differs but I felt like the capsules were more effective than the liquid- just can't afford them! I'll have to do the liquid if it becomes necessary.
Do you go to The Alternative Health Shoppe ? They can really help with stuff for herxing. I know I used to break out during herxes.
Good Luck and Take Care...Terri
