Can anyone assist? I'm on IV rocephin again for the 2nd time, taking doxy and flagyl. In addition I'm on the herbal treatment as well but am still having major gut/yeast issues. I'm taking probiotic eleven 3 times a day as well as acidophilus 3 times day and not getting any relief. Any suggestions?

Hi Teammom, I put a post up "Yeast....craving sugar" and I got some very good advice that may help your situation!

I don't know about you, but it's so bad for me that the yeast in my stomache is making it rise to the piont that people think I'm pregnant!!

I'm also constipated which is a very big part of yeast, and well pain meds.too. On that post....

I got some good websites to look into on yeast and other things to do to fight it.

So........Go click on it!!!! I hope it helps ya,

Jamie

I read your info, but I'm having the opposite of the constipation thing. The craving of sugar has fallen off; I had this at first but now it's to the point where I don't even want to eat. Which could be a good thing since I have gained weight since I've been off work. And of course the yeast has gone elsewhere where I won't mention-even after over the counter meds. May need to get Diflucin? Did call my DO to find out if I can increase the Acidolph. and probiotic. Not sure if that will help.

Those things are more of a preventative and not so much a cure for yeast. It sucks but the best way to get rid of it is ZERO carbs and ZERO sugar and I mean ZERO. You will starve the yeast.

Team Mom:

Check out guiney's post.

I had the same problem you have. The yeast was so bad I was acting drunk. I had terrible diarrhea and stopped eating because everything seemed to cause me to break out in hives or run to the bathroom. I lost almost 60 lbs!

Oral abx were horrible for me. I did IV Rocephin, lots of orals, and now do Bicillin IM. I'm much better on the Bicillin.

Cut back on all sugars and refined carbs. Drink tons of water. Take a good refrigerated probiotic. Ultra Flora Plus is good but Ultra pricy. Drink Pau Darco tea. Drink a mixture of water/juice with psyllium and bentonite. The psyllium will bulk you up and the bentonite will help clear out the toxic yeast. I use 1 tbs psyllium an 1/4tsp bentonite. You'll have to experiment. Take away from abx.

Also, L-Glutamine powder - 2Gs - will help with the diarrhea.

You could also try Caprylic Acid or Grapefruit Seed Extract or Olive Leaf Extract. I rotate them each month. OLE is strong stuff.

It will take time to see improvement. Hope this helps.

Bc

Could you be more specific about your symptoms? Diarrhea can be caused by a number of things- including too much acidophillus. You really should be on Diflucan if you're having problems that otc remedies won't clear up.
Hope you get some relief soon

Good Luck and Take Care.....Terri

It's not so much diar.... but I am going alot more that I normally do. I'm thinking part of it is the flagyl. I know it was one of the side effects. Cut the carbs-that will definitely be a work out. Carbs are my big down fall!! (love bread!!!) Although I'm not eating as much as normal-But I will work on this!! Water definitely is not a problem-I usually drink 64 to 90oz a day. Love water-never been much of a soda drinker.

Thanks everyone for the tips. Greatly appreciated.
