Hey Chainsaw,

This is probably old news to you-----sorry.

But I was surprised when I read yesterday that Bartonella causes bad dreams. Didn't know that, or at least it didn't sink in.

Anyway, sure hope you can find the right med combination.

Good Luck,
Jan

I was on it (1200mg) for 5 months, LLMD said it had very good Blood Brain Barrier penetration. It was combined with either 300mg Mino or 500mg Zithro. Unfortunately for me 5 months made no difference.

I am taking two Omnicef with probenicid in a.m.; malarone at noon, and two Ketek with plaquenil; in the p.m.

Not sure but I've been told that omnicef is the oral equivalent of rocephin.

I am definitely seeing improvement...but hard to say which drug may be responsible or if the combo is helping.

At first I had exaggerated brain fog, but it has gotten better. The usual tiredness, aches and pains.

I haven't noticed any bad side effects...small herx in the beginning of tx.
Keep in mind I had 9 months of feeling well
and then relapsed, but symptoms weren't as bad as my last relapse.

I hope you have good luck with it...am on a powerful combination determined to kill those stinkers!

Yes, I do know the Dr. you mean. Dr. McK.
I think he's in Harwich. I have known of others who have seen him. He fancies himself the guru of lyme treatment. But after some treatment, he stops the abx and then people are left to find another Dr.

Are you on the Cape? Who do you see? Email me if you like.
[email protected]

I travel to Hyde Park NY to see Dr. H.
A 4 1/2 hour drive....bleck!
