Well I've been on mino now for about six weeks, and I feel pretty awful. Yesterday, I was sooooo tired and physically exhausted, my eyes were really sore, and I had some testicular pain, which luckily seems to have eased today. :-\ Any of the guys out there had similar things? Kinda a bit worrying, but I can't really feel any lumps or anything (well, apart from the obvious LOL). I'll probably go to a quack if it keeps up.

What I did notice from keeping records on the treatment is that the last time I felt as bad as that was exactly three weeks after commencing the treatment, and of course, yesterday was exactly three weeks since then. So it would seem I'm following some sort of three weekly herx cycle perhaps?

Also, my specialist is sending me some info on Benicar in case I want to go down that road. Any info or opinions on the use of Benicar would be appreciated.

Later,

Hi!
Didn't know you were still around.Have you come up positive for lyme yet?Are you still seeing Dr S ? What is Benicar?

I am seeing Dr Hudson at RNS Hospital in the morning. The nursing team which do my abx were not happy with Dr S as he is not a specialist so they refused to continue my IV's unless I see Dr Hudson.Hope he OK's the treatment or I am in trouble.I have had a port put in for the abx in my chest and it will all be for nothing if he says I have had enough abx.Shall have to wait and see.

Sorry to hear you are still unwell.I thought if it was rickettsia you would be better by now.I thought it would be easier to get rid of.

Update me,
take care,Sue.

If you really need to check your scrotum, do it in the shower with some soap all over you. That way you dont "harm" anything important. When I had the worst of Lyme it felt like someone was constantly squeezing my stuff. Also when I would walk I would get a shooting pain in one side all the way in the back. I'd feel around and around and couldnt pin-point the reason for the pain. I was almost like my pants were too tight and I was pinching some "skin" some where. And to top it all off, during a herx my groin glands would be snapping at me somethin fearse. It was almost like my whole crotch area was pissed off at me.
Anyway try not to stress it BUT do the check in the shower anyway. You always need to know whats going on with your "boys".

hang in there
