Is this a herxing effect? My right side of my jaw is sore and when I open feels like it's going to snap, been like this for about a week now. Feels almost like lock jaw.

Hi there,

TMJ-like pain had been one of my first symptoms. It didn't last too long, and it was definitely due to Lyme.

Do you typically develop new symptoms while herxing?

Haven't yet herxed to the point I could say Im really worst, I've gotten little new symptoms like eye twitch that lasted only 2 weeks, s this is new. Just added 2 weeks ago Doxy to my Biaxin & Plaquenil and still waiting for a herxed to make me feel it's working.

You sound like me. I haven't herxed much myself and I've been on biaxin for over 2 weeks, and doxy for about 5. At this point I'm praying tooth and nail that I'm just one of those who don't herx much. I had a few gallons of blood drawn today. I'm hoping they'll shed a lil' light on things.

BTW - I had a lot of facial twitching as well. I'm happy to say that's pretty much gone now.
