I'm wondering if those using heparin would share their experiences, i.e. -

How long you took (have taken) it,
what dosage,
shots or oral,
if it helped,
if so, what symptoms improved and how much,
did you take it with antibiotics, if so, which one(s),
any adverse reactions?

...and anything else you might care to share.

Thank you very much,
Nancy

Nancy,

How long?
Jake - 2 months
Jordan - 3 months

Dosage?
both started at 4000U,
Jordan is now at 8000U
Jake is at 7000U

Shots or oral?
both oral

Has it helped?
Jordan noticed a big improvement during the 1st 10 days, but then it all fell apart.
Jake hasn't noticed a difference so far.

Did you take it with antibiotics?
Jake & Jordan had not been on antibiotics consistently for about 6 months. Jordan recently had a sinus infection and was on Zithromax (6 pills). He had an extreme herx. Both started antibiotics last week. They were starting out really slow by taking 1 pill every other day. Both have herxed on this dose. Jordan started on Biaxin XL and had to stop because of a weird reaction (possible herx). Both will now be taking Cedax.

Jordan had taken Zithromax and Biaxin XL before for 3 1/2 months and didn't have the extreme herx he is having on Heparin.

I think the Heparin is definitely making the antibiotics more effective. We just have to find the right antibiotic for them.

Peggy,
Thanks for the info. - it's interesting that they seem to be herxing so much more...seems like the heparin must be helping the abx get into the tissues.

Take care,
Nancy

Thought there were more of Dr. Cs patients and perhaps others using heparin...

Thanks to anyone willing to share their experiences.

Hello,

I just posted regarding my husband, who had lyme and coinfections. He still has the coinfections, but with the protocal with Dr. C. and heparin. He is now testing negative through Igenix with Lyme.

The test was done about a month ago. So we are keeping are finger's crossed.

Do not know the protocal for the co-infections, but he returns to the doc on the 18th.

He has been sick since '98 / 99, was diagnosed in '02 I believe.
