I haven't been around much lately, because I started law school. I don't have much time between 40 hour work days, class at night, and reading o the weekends. But I think I may finally be on the road to succes.

My last LLMD visit was great. She noted that it was the first time I looked healthy. And my mom concurred. My Lyme is equivocal, and down to 4 bands on the WB (I don't remember which ones). I had salmonella, and that's basically gone.

In addition, my pain has been very low for about 3 weeks now (I know that can be temporary though) and I find I'm not needing as much sleep.

My LLMD is taking me off Levaquin, which I was on to target the salmonella. I'll be switching to Ketek at the end of the week. That's to target chlyamydia pneumoniae and possibly other mycoplasmas. I've been warned that the herx can be bad, and can bring back my asthma. So now I'm trying to find a flu shot, since the flu can be serious for asthmatics.

I should also say, I think school is helping. I know it seems crazy, but I think it helps to get my mind off the illness and have something to work towards.

Good news!!

Yep, if you can handle that scedulae (sp) then I'd say you are doing better.

Hope it continues.

I could use some more school to brush up on my spelling LOL

Annie, did Dr. H. have you on just one abx at a time? What about the IV you were on,was it done simultaneiously with the Levaquin and Ketek?

Does she also treat metals?

I agree with your one statement-- I too have felt soo much better since I started school again. Before I was dredding going back and had no idea how I was going to handle it but it really keeps me calm. Fogginess doesnt really get in the way either-- weird.

Thanks all.

Foggy - I think you have me confused with somebody else. I don't see a Dr. H and haven't been on IV.

So glad ur feeling better!

Thank you for sharing the good news.... alot of times people disappear and we never know if they got better or sicker.

I think it helps everyone when someone shares that they are getting healthier and getting their life back!

Good luck with everything
