Howdy,

Oil of Oregano is the most effective treamtent I have taken for Candida infection. Period.

I will take this for at least the next 2-3 years!

Here is a GREAT source for you:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jhtml?id=prod987219&CATID=100165&navAction=push&navCount=0

It is at Walgreens (who doesn't have one of those?!), it is fairly inexpensive, it is in Olive Oil (VERY healthy), it is awesome.

It anyone has not tried Oil of Oregano, I really, really strongly suggest a trial.

Keep on, keepin' on

I have been using oil of oregano softgels for a year and a half while on abx. I take them for a week or two every couple of months when I feel like I've got a yeast build up. I think it is when I have joint pain or headache for more than week, what would consider more than a herx or sysmptom flare. This is usally a week or so after I have been eating too many carbs for too many days.

I feel better in one or two days. I have 150 mg geltabs from Puritan Pride. Someone gave me a bottle two years ago and they worked, so I haven't tried anything else. They are on line and have sales. I usually take two softgels twice a day but sometimes I start at four a day. This is what is on the label.

I hope this helps.

Mel

I just got the results of my comprehensive stool test, which showed that the candida in my intestines is resistant to oregano

DMC: I just added a new herb called Spilanthes. It is noted for being effective against candida albicans. You may want to bring it up w/ your LLMD (or whoever is treating you) to see if it's an option.

I'm currently using Oil of Oregano capsules (veggie caps). I'd like to do it as drops under the tongue, as soon as I find a good one. The potency of the orgeano caps is based on how much Carvacol it contains, so that's what to look for.

My son used Oregacyn P73 (wild oregano extract) for 6 months after getting positive candida test. After that time he was re-tested with a negative result! He was taking 4 capsules/day. There are lots of internet sites to get a decent price on this product.

MBRODERICK: I am using the Wild extract also-everyone says it helps great with CFS and Fibromyalgia. They said it could be almost as effective as Morphine for pain-

Alot of people don't think it's good-but I'm wondering if they are actually using the one that says WILD OREGANO-it's called I think Oregancyn-hold on I'm going to go get it....

It's called Oregacyn P73-it's an Herbal Supplement of 140 mg-it says to take 2 times daily-but I've heard you can take up to 500mg daily....

I used oil of Oregano tincture 2x a day, about 5 drops. I had the most incredible herxes. I was loaded with Candida. The herx I got from Oil of Oregano caused me to black out and gave me the shakes. It is the strongest thing I have used for Candida. I could not handle the mother herxes, had to stop taking it.

I suggest starting out slow with it and maybe don't use the pure extract that I was using.

Great stuff!

The only bad thing is that it has horiable taste, I don't know which is worst cod liver oil or oregano oil?

Have to watch what your buuying. Since its so expensive, many mfg water it down with other oils, to keep the price down. A small 1oz bottle can go for $70.00 ($45 internet). Make sure that it's the wild Mediterranean oregano Oil, P73, if not you will not get the full benifits.

Also grow my own, as a supplement to the oil.

I have used it for cold, broncitus, sores, my dog's ear infection, to name a few.

Yeah I have the Oregacyn P73-and each capsule has an herbal blend comprised of wild high mountain oregano P73 oil, wild mountainous sage oil, cumin (high mountain oild blend), flavors, and beef gelatin (North American sourced). It's all natural spices and herbs, including the proprietary P73 wild oregano blend.
