IKPOD:

How long have you been on that combination of meds?? I was on that for a while-thought it helped, but then got horribly worse and didn't get better at all-hope it works differently for you!!

I thought a friend of mine who lives down the street-that she read Dr. B's guides-and she said it said there or in something else she read that you shouldn't take Milk-maybe dairy-I'm not sure-but I know she said for sure Milk when on any abx-for lyme....so I don't know-but I think that's what she said-although I drank a glass of milk with my biaxin-took some of the bad taste away-so maybe that's what made me feel worse-although I didn't feel that much worse til I started doing the 3-rocephin, biaxin and flagyl.

Here's a snippet I found on drugs.com re: biaxin. When I was on biaxin I recall having to eat, but not neccesarily a *full* meal. I can't comment on taking it while on rocephin, though. Never had experience w/that.

~~~~~~~~~~
How should I take Biaxin?
* Take Biaxin exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these instructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.
* Take each dose with a full glass (8 ounces) of water.
* Biaxin can be taken with food or milk or on an empty stomach.
* Take extended release Biaxin (Biaxin XL) with food.
* Biaxin is usually taken two times a day with the doses about 12 hours apart. Follow your doctor's instructions.
* Shake the suspension well before measuring each dose. To ensure that you get a correct dose, measure the suspension with a dose-measuring dropper, cup, or spoon, not a regular tablespoon. Ask your pharmacist for a dose-measuring device if you do not have one.
* Take all of the Biaxin that has been prescribed for you even if you begin to feel better. Your symptoms may start to improve before the infection is completely treated.
* Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Do not refrigerate the suspension
