My dentist recommend I brish with a fluoride gel or use a rise before bedtime. He had givem me an Rx for Fluoride tablets from age 13-33.

I also brush with fluoride toothpaste. Is there a point were I could have fluoride overload and suffer toxicity symptoms?

do your homework....flouride is bad stuff. Long ago I became allergic to it. Probably saved me YEARS of toxic exposure. I avoid it like the plague.

My early lyme symptoms included swallowing problems and thyroid problems.

Before the thyroid issue was addressed, I noticed that when I switched to a fluoride-free toothpaste, the tightness in my throat, weakness at the corners of my mouth, and swallowing problems got a lot better immediately.

If I backslid and used fluoridated toothpaste, the symptoms immediately returned.

I love Tom's Gingermint toothpaste, which comes in both fluoridated and fluoride-free varieties.

We avoid flouride like the plague. We use Tom's Baking Soda toothpaste and the kids use his kid's "berry" toothpaste.

Flouride is just plain and simple nasty stuff.

This link to The Magnesium Website takes you to a page that has 3 links under fluoride toxicity. Interesting that the one article I clicked on says thatan increase in fluoride leads to magnesium deficiency. We can't afford that!
http://www.mgwater.com/listc.shtml#fluoride

Edited to add, another of the articles says that proper levels of magnesium can help to protect us from fluoride toxicity, so there appears to be a need for strict balance between Mg and F.

fluoride must be used in 2 specific times if you want to save your teeth.
1) radiation therapy to the salivary glands of the head.
2) severe xerostomia as in sjorgen syndrome.
both these remove the protective saliva from around the teeth and sauce nmasive decay within 6-12 months. the cavities can not be filled because they reoccur.
3) moderate flouride in toothpate is ok if you don't swallow it.
4) suppliments are not necessary for children usually.
5) no fl is not a communist plot.
6) fl is know different chemically than cl and reacts the same on the body. cl is in the drinking water and is used for killing bacteria.
7) many water companies have stopped using fl in the water but still use cl
so maybe cl is more of a danger to people than fl. cl can cause genetic mutation and cause multiple problems with your health even cancer.
so do you drink clean water or water filled with bacteria ,tough question.
