Stress brought this disease on full force for me. Any trauma, be it physcial, emotional or environmental can make people sick. So when already fighting something, more suspectible to increase in symptoms.

That's why avoiding stress, negative people and places very important to regaining health. Many people jobs are making them sick cause they hate them and have to go there.

I have zero tolerance for stress. I get sicker from it.

It's a little tough to get away from the stress because it is my 6 yo son. He is going to see Dr.J next week for lyme testing but for too long he has had many problems. He is oppositional defiant, moody, angry angry angry, throw in some OCD and you get the picture. It is on a cycle and he can go for periods where he is a-symptomatic and wonderful and then wham! it all comes back like and ugly monster. He has been bitten many times so we shall see.
thanks
Patti

Patti.
sounds like your son has bartonella which tends to sit in the limbic or emotional part of the brain causing all of the symtoms you just mentioned..my son used to be exactly the same way...dr. j will straighten him out..

try not to worry...my son is doing great now!

Absolutely!
Lyme invades the nervous system and when it gets upset, symptoms spike (my theory).

My first severe symptoms were all stress related and appeared when I had a very high stress job. I believe the stress took me into active lyme versus a more dormant lyme which I had had for several years (did not know it).

My first visit to my GP was filled with stress complaints, panic attacks etc. She sent me to a shrink who said I had generalized anxiety disorder (I did not).

Yes stress for me played an enormous part in this disease. And of course I was eventually diagnosed with nervous system lyme.

Stay calm as much as possible.

What is that? I think that is what I have, stress is definitely the trigger for me, can you list the systems of "Nervous System Lyme".

Please somebody list those systems.

I can only speak from my experience and also because J. clinic told me that is what I have.

Lyme has invaded by cranial nerves, particularly the 8th one which controls vestibular system, hence extreme vertigo 24/7. A month of babs meds has not helped it.

I have swallowing difficulties and eye problems

I also have pain in lower back which is nerve related and causes one leg to drag at times, particularly when I am stressed.

I am prone to panic attacks, also stress related, which began with lyme

I have various spots on my foot, particularly one that itches uncontrollably, also nerve related.

I don't have the arthritis symptoms, pain in knees or ankles.

The vertigo is very incapacatating and very extreme, much much worse when I herx.

J. clinic told me nervous system lyme is harder to get rid of. Best thing to do is do research on these two presentations of lyme: neuro lyme versus arthritic, painful joint lyme.
Hope this helps

I wonder If I have nerv lyme then as I have been battling itchy spots all up and down my arms and legs and trunk very symmetrically. VERY ITCHY. THe 500mg of zyth have really helped but as soon as I get over stressed i start to prickle and itch in all my old spots. luckily they dont actually come back. They are like ghost spots.
