Hi,

I see an excellent LLMD in Missouri. Besides Lyme, I also have RA and he has approved me using Enbrel.

Problem is suddenly, after nearly 2 weeks my body decided to get egg-sized rashes as all of my injection sites. They itched badly.

During these days, I also had shaking all over chills. They lasted about 3 days and have now eased off.

Anyone have any idea as to what happened? I'm hoping it was just a small herx and the Ceftin is working. I'll be anxious to hear back from anyone.

God's Blessings to all of us,

Pam

At your injection sites????

are you allergic to the drug or a filler in the solution?

What is Enbrel? I hope it's not a steriod? If it is, it's really a bad idea to take steriods with any kind of infection, especially lyme. I hope it's not a steriod.

Call your doc.

My Dr. is Dr. C. in Springfield, Mo. My guess would be that he knows the risks of me using it.

I will call him first thing in the morning. I'm also taking Alpha Lipoic Acid, coQ10, chorella, and lots of other things.

I'm also on Enbrel. I often get very itchy and somewhat red at the injection site (though no actual rash) especially when I do my outer thigh (which has less padding than my tummy). I think injection site irritation is somewhat common. You should check with your LLMD though. You can have an allergic reaction to almost anything.
