If it is that easy to do why aren't the local labs able to do this?

Its possible that I just got REALLY lucky and scraped out a sample from just the right spot.

I think I will try this little science project again this weekend and see if it is even repeatable.

How many of us have actually asked a lab to LOOK AT a tissue sample from an active EM rash microscopically?

Even with this 'suspected spirochette' rich sample, the 'objects of interest' are sparse and take some patience to find.

I also put my samples into a drop of distilled water, which caused the cell walls to burst, exposing any critters living inside. I think they would be very difficult to see inside of intact cells

I doubt that I have stumbled onto a revolutionary new quick way to get a diagnosis.

More likely I was just lucky enough to get some really interesting photos for show and tell.

Lymeit,
FYI, I sent your photos to my allergist without providing the photo info, in other words I asked her if she knew what it was just by looking at the pics. There was absolutely no doubt in her mind that it was borrelia spirochetes.
Great Pics!
best regards,
ladyhawk

Ladyhawk,

Those were my photos of my bugs and my rashes. The Canlyme people were nice enough to post them on their website for everyone to see.

That is interesting that your Allergist (in Slovakia?) knew what those were right away... Even though it is way outside of her specialty. Did you show her the rash pictures too?

James
