Anyone been on Septra and gotten a really dry flaky rash-looking skin condition? Hasn't happened with the other abx. No itching or hives, and it's only in small patches.

Otherwise, everything is going very well. We're still doing the bicillin, 2 shots every 5 days, and the hubby is finishing off the babesia TX and the Bartonella tx; one month more of Septra, and 2 of Samento. He's fatigued and still feeling weak, but his head is so much clearer and he's got his sense of humor and his sweet nature back. And is feeling hopeful about the future. It's just amazing.

I'm on bicillin, omnicef, and samento now, and about to wind up the latter 2 in a month or so I think. Had mostly neuroherxes, in the form of intense anxiety and getting really drifty at first on the omnicef and then the samento, but that's getting much better and I'm up to full dose on the Samento.

Trout, I'm still waiting for that samento-induced libido to kick in! I just hope I remember which one of us get's tied up....And, BTW, I think the Xango does help. I do seem to be more energetic when I take it.

trying to figure out which of my coinfections might be back..can't figure it out..this is my only symtmpm..in the front portion of my brain...drivng me nuts..literally!!

thanks for any insight....oh, and when i was on septra I had no problems with my skin..it worked well for me.

Never had Septra, but had the skin condition.
You might think fungus and/or parasites.
That's what cleared it for us. It took a long time.

Take care.

That happened to me when on Bactrim DS.
They are similar antibiotics.
This skin condition never happened to me with other abx.
I assumed I was herxing.

I've been off of all meds for couple years now (alternative treatment only) and I still have this skin problem. It gets better and then comes back. Very annoying.

Fourth day now I'm using a new formula and it looks very promising. Perhaps this time it works.

I believe it part of our symptoms.
