I've been using Sulindac for awhile and it works well. I hope it doesn't get recalled. Then I'll be out of options for joint pain.

For joint pain glucosamine sulfate has some pretty good studies. Unlike NSAIDS, glucosamine actually encourages regrowth od damaged cartilage.

My osteopath says the brand at Costco is just fine. I can't testify to it myself, as I have more nerve pain than joint pain. Be cautious of it if you have shellfish allergies.

Plaquenil has really reduced my inflammation and related pain. Much more than naproxen or other NSAIDs ever did.

Of course, I'm sure we will find out it too causes heart attacks....

Years ago my doctor prescribed naproxen for my migraine. I took it a while and then I had a major allergic reaction to it. I was rushed to hospital and hospitalized for couple days.

Have you all noticed how many drugs they are reporting problems lately? That's scary. Last night I saw the report about Aleve product and this morning naproxen.

I guess FDA finally doing some real work discovering some "killer" drugs they'd approved.

I believe its the Cox-2 inhibitors that may be the problem man made or plant made.

Aleve and Naproxen are the same thing. Aleve is a brand name, Naproxen is the generic name.
