For those who use Primal Defense as their probiotic, how many do you take a day? I'm interested in trying it, but it's even more expensive than Primadophilous, which I currently use. On my current dosage schedule of about 10 caps day, a large bottle wouldn't last very long.

Thanks!

I have an idea for you. I know the stuff is pricy. I order mine from iHerb.

I take a refrigerated brand of probiotic and Sacharomysis Boulardii in the morning and before bed. I take the Primal Defence during the day with juice or mixed with water, but usually just 1/2 the recommended daily dose.

I think the PD is great to get soil based microbes in you. But, I think a good live (refrigerated) probiotic is beneficial too. Doing it this way I tend to get the benefit from both and save some money as well.

I take 3 to 4 per day. I started with one and worked up, like the directions said. If I only take 2 on one day I dont worry about it but it usually 3-4.

I always take it on an empty stomach, one at a time, as per label.

How many I take depends on my eating habits thru the day. If I wake during the night I have one by the bed to take.

For me its always at least 2 hrs after food and 1 hr before. Always 2 hrs after abx.

Once I had such a turn around with these I quit buying the refrigerated kind once I ran out of them. I just didnt need them.

I like the fact that they are a 100% organic product. Just one more thing you dont have to think/worry about.

I would suggest "Culterelle" available at most Walgreens Drug stores.

If you are taking Primadophilus....are you taking the "Rheuteri" version or just plain Primadophilus?

Rheuteri is the most effective and has clinical studies to back it.

The regular Primadophilous is a "plain jane"
pro-biotic.

I take one primal defense a day, and have seen a major decrease in thrush. I try to take 2, but it's sometimes hard with my schedule.

But I'm also taking Diflucan.
