Hi Team, I am not fond of this feeling of the world caving in on me and nobody really loves me so I'm gonna go eat worms ( which I did when I was 3 yum!). I used to be a positive happy go lucky person. These jags of pain, depression, exhaustion and suffering are simply no fun at all. Now it's effecting my eyes so I can't even drive. I really am home bound. Christmas used to be a great time of year for me. This year I haven't made one batch of my world famous cookies, no cards sent out, barely have presents for my son, who might stop by for an hour if he gets around to it. I used to have a house full of people. I am feeling sorry for myself. My family is all in Maine and here I am alone on the mountain. This is the only place I feel I can sufficiently whine. Thanks for indulging me. Blessings, Marblenose

Hi MN,
I can relate......i used to be the happy go lucky type too. It is hard to believe a life can turn so abruptly and drasticly!
I know I never expected to be in this place. depressed, contemplating suicide from time to time and wondering if it is worth it.
What keeps me going is that supposdly there is recovery. I believe there is. I try to remember that treatment just makes it worse and in time we will be better.
I get a lot of help from people on this board.........
One thing I can suggest is taking immune building supplements. See a naturopathic Dr. Mine helped a lot with supplements. I am going to see another,as I feel I have gotten all the benefit I can out of my current.
The best part of my week (when i can afford it) is accupuncture. I had to try several before finding the right one. She helps me immensely....if you can, try to find a good one. Get recomendations from folks in the alternative healing community in your area.
Take a nice long hot epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide bath......then sleep.
I can tell you on a lot of days I feel better than I did 8 months ago when I started treatment..........many days are still crappy, but all and all I think I am crawling out of the hole.
It is a sllllllllllloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww process. You won't see day to day improvement.........but you will see it after several months.
Be safe, warm and comfortable.........snuggle up with a good book....or a movie.

This is the worst sucky time of year to be herxing. Hang in htere, know that we want you to have a calm relaxing, merry xmas. Take a nice long, hot, soak, put on some christmas music and have a cup of warm cider on me ! Maybe the herxing now means we will be clear and have a new, brighter new year.
take care

robi and debbie, Thanks so much for the replies. I use an acupressurist, chiropractor, medical intuit and massage therapist as well as an LLMD. I find the combination to work as best as it can for what I am going thru. Baths are difficult for me because my tub is so big and I can't get in and out safely alone and believe me I am not showing this lyme bod to anyone!?! May you have a wonderful hliday filled with peace and joy! Blessings, Marblenose Posts: 287 | Registered: Nov 2004

MN, Hang in there; we just hope SOONER rather than later.
You mentioned no cards out. I've typed a xmas letter for years, and now I email it to around 50 folks vs. printing/stamping & using precious energy I don't have. It gets the highlites out and is a real timesaver for me! Many resent getting an email letter vs. snail mail & card, but that's their problem....not mine!
Here's to a HEALTHIER 2005 FOR ALL OF US! Drop dead ticks! Betty G., IOowa
