Hi,

I can't say that I've ever heard of taking 2 perscription meds for yeast. Yes you could have massive die off if you have lot's of yeast.

I've taken Nystatin and Diflucan but definitely seperate.

Did you doc recommend you do this?

i don't know if there is a pharmacological problem with the two as far interaction but this will be very hard on your liver.

are you taking nystatin pills or powder? also ther is a brand new antifungal in the azole class (like diflucan) called vfend which is stronger than diflucan.

vfend (voricanizole) was just approved by the FDA. you can ask your doc about that.

make sure you are having a blood test weekly to check your liver enzymes if you do this protocol, specifically becaue of the diflucan.

if your dr recommends that you do take both make sure to take them probably 2 hrs away from each other so they are not competing with each other in the bloodstream for bioavailability.

best of luck...

I'd call a pharmacist that you know and have them look up the drugs for any negative interaction. There have to be a few pharmacies open tonight!
