This has been the strangest thing since___ well cant remeber now. When the weather turned cold this fall I developed post nasal drip when outside every day in the cold weather. This has dripped and dripped and now my lungs feel very full. I never had a cold to speak of. Might have had a minor sinus infection that I forgot about this fall. (Never treated) But usually have head colds that move into my chest. Not this chest getting all tight FIRST. I am starting to rattle sometimes and not always. I dont feel like doing anything but I have too. Especially outside, it is a whooping 2* that it warmed up to now, I have to go out, and it makes my chest BURN. I am afraid if this continues for awhile I am going to be sick sick sick. When I get to coughing once in a while it really hurts. If I had to cough all the time I would really be bad off. Isnt this what walking pneumonia is or am I whacked out in left field.??? Is their a treatment for walking pneumonia??? Isnt there an article that talks about pneumonia in us "lymies". My brain aint good but remember something from years ago about this. Anybody else remember??? How about Charlie, he remembers everything!!! Keep on keepin on cuz I be--just don--

In the fall before my daughter was officially diagnosed with lyme she got pneumonia. (she had lyme at the time) It hit hard and quick. Same kind of thing, respritory cold and suddenly a cough and then wham she woke me up at 3AM telling me it hurt to take a deep breath. Got a chest x-ray immediately and she had pneumonia. She didnt even run a high fever just around 100.5 to 101. Get checked out a.s.a.p. Don. Pattiecake

Lori, and Patty, I have to go outside at least for 3-4 hours to play with my live-in girlfriends. If I dont they get very long faces and tell me, lets go eat fast Jack!!! You know I am the only guy around with a few hundred live in girlfriends that can say
'MOOOOOOO've over,
red rover,
lets roll in the clover! (or hay)(they dont care)
So you see I am pretty house bound unless I am out'side enjoying life 'yeah right'. Yesterday froze my pa-toot off cuz I was wet from all the snow.(Setting on wet snow tends to dampen my setter downer.) Today it is snowing harder and 10 degrees colder. Tommorrow worse!! I hate winter!! and I hate being sick!!! And sometimes I hate--just don--

Hey Don,
I hear ya, kiddo... I too have been hijacked by some sort of sinus-cold-thing for the last 5 days, and it is NO FUN AT ALL!
Looks like Melanie has you fixed up with all those links.
My son had pneumonia as a child & I think it took an x-ray to diagnose him.
Pre-lyme diagnosis: I had a blood test which returned Mycoplasma pneumoniae. I was about over it when I go to the doctor. The blood test said "low" count.
I had a very mild case of what felt like pleurisy. When I breathed in deep, it hurt. They gave me Levaquin for 10 days.
My husband (functional Lymie) had severe case of pleurisy that sent him to ER. He could not breathe while lying down. Very scary.
The ER was not interested in the cause. They gave him a RX anti-inflammatory (Indomethacin). As soon as breathing improved, he was released.
The pleurisy is one of his LD symptoms. He starts using Motrin now if he even gets a twinge of this. And, it requires REST to get well. You have to treat early & keep treating until symptoms are gone or it spins out of control.
His was extremely painful and required Vicodin, as well.
Hope you can get to the Doctor & they can help you. Hate to see you suffer with this.

Hey! If you have walking pneumonia they'll probably give you cipro, so if you have any at home you can fix that yourself.
But the shoulder stuff combined with the bronchial syx sounds like babs to this unlicensed amateur LLtinkerer.

Hey Just Don,
My limo driver is on the way to pick you up. He will be dropping someone off to look after your girls while you are gone.
He is taking you out to eat first and then to the docs.

You Rock Jodie!!! That artemeisen(sp) is very much cheaper there. Thank You bunches!!! Your too cool.
And Charlie too for remembering you had that source.
My girlfriends survived the minus 10 I saw on the thermometer yesterday morning.
My pickup did not. Got stranded 4 miles from home with a froze up diesel. So much for that fuel additive. They can water their roses with it.
I tried to call doc's office several times. Didnt realize they were on golfing type hours. Off all afternoon. banking hours are bad enough but golfing hours are alot worse. Finnally got ahold of them yesterday(Thursday) about 15 minutes before they closed for the "week". Go to emer-a-care if you need help.
I picked up my local paper last night and see my local doc, who I was calling, is quitting her practice and throwing in with somebody a town and a half away. Sited lack of patients. Her weekends are way too long and her weeks off were very frequent also. besides only really being available early mornings. Go figure. I really liked her and her style but dont think she researched any lyme info to help me out at all. just treating the symptoms of everything...
So to make a very long story short. I will call her Monday morning and see If I am worth shooting(with meds)(darn) I have told her just to put me out of my misery. Cant ever win a debate with a WOMAN!! Cant figure that one out either.
Happy winter all, enjoying the cold temps and abundant snow we got dumped on here with. Its for sale, anybody interested? FOB only!!! --ca-ca-ca-cold don--

Glad to see you are planning on getting things checked out soon.
Hopefully, you will be well before Monday. Isn't that how it usually goes?
How did you get back to the house when the truck broke down?
Stay warm and dry.

If you want to talk cold, head north to MN! It is darn cold up here. So cold my breath froze solid and I walked into it and got me a black eye!
About them girls.....you have to give them attention. You know what happens when you don't give us girls enough attention...sick or not!!!
Did you call one of your daughters and discuss it with them? Be careful with that stuff as it can sneak up on you over night and wham.....remeber Jim Hensen, you know, Kermit the Frog........wham and it wasn't Miss Piggy that did him in either.....
When you are ill with other stuff, it is even more complicated and more for the body to fight...have you heard this before??? Anyway my good friend, take care of you...and the girls, well, find a surrogate for a little bit if needed.
I still have that offer open to you for bio-feedback....hop on up to MN!
Have a great new year and get well soon my friend!
