Hi, I wish everyone well!

I have been having ulcer attacks again and was wondering if I can resume my Losec prescription again.

I am currently on Doxy(200 mg) and Rafampicin(600mg) per day. I had been taking them up until a couple of months ago, when the ulcer pains stopped.

But since I started Herxing, they have come back, especially in the middle of the night. Last night I practically inhaled 1/2 a bottle of Pepto-Bismol! So I got a refill of my Losec today.

I remember reading about a study regarding co infections, certain pump inhibitors and abx working well together, but I don't know if Losec is in that class. I think I've dropped my brain somewhere!?!? !#@@!$*& :-(

All the info says is Losec - omeprazole magnesium delayed release tablets. 20 mg omeprazole per tab. h+,k+ - ATPase Inhibitor.

If I was at work I could look it up, but I'm not, just in pain!
Thank you to anyone who can help!

Hi,

My daughter also experienced the horrible ulcer type stomach pain and the famous LLMD........... Dr. J............ prescribed Prevacaid capsules and it took all the pain away. Hope this helps.I believe they are now available over the counter.
