After a careful review of many of your earlier posts, I've removed my critique of your more later, and latest of posts, the perceived tenor of intent of the latter of which seem to be at variance with the earlier ones, and, despite seriously lingering concerns, concerns of and about which I will neither identify, nor elaborate on, give you the benefit of the doubt herein, while wishing you the best of recoveries.

Critique removal noted.
To clarify, I was trying to help a new person who posted previoously that she did not have the cash to lay out on one of our local LLMDs. She has many other options in CT. I meant no harm.
I realize now that I may have (did) come on a little strong with my defensiveness about other types of MDs.

Hi BC!
I'm glad you weren't run off by that accusation. I, for one, understood what you meant and agree with you. If I could find a non-LLMD that would be willing to learn and was covered by my insurance, I'd be one happy lymie
Not to take anything away from my LLMD- whom I love to pieces, but I could stand a little more cash in the piggy bank
Take Care.....Terri

Hi, Terri:
Thanks for understanding.
I must say I was brought to tears when I was turned away by this wonderful LLMD that really has helped so many. I just don't have the capital to afford someone who doesn't accept insurance. And, I really felt badly for the person who was hitting the same wall that I hit.
My MD is wonderful too, even though he is not on the Lymenet list. He is so up to date on the most aggressive protocols and he is very responsive to his patients. He returns my calls and his nurses see me weekly to be sure I am handling the meds ok and having my liver checked. His office handles all the insurance paperwork too. It is so much less stressful for me.
There are a few other really good MDs in the area who are not given the distinction of LLMD that treat patients with great success. I just wish they didn't get a public bad rap by generalizations about IDMDs on this board.
By the way, did I ever tell you how much I like your Lymenet User Name?

BC This is great to hear about a regular doc that is willing to treat lyme disease.
They are rare.
It is good to let us know that there are a few out there.

You make me laugh. If I were blonde and about 6 inches taller I could be a barbie doll. But, alas, I am short like a troll (I prefer hobbit). But, my hair is not purple.

I have been lucky enough to finally find a doctor who treats lyme properly. It has been a long time coming. I had another option, but very expensive as my son needs treatment too.
This is a rare find.
He is ID doc, and mostly what I hear and from my own experience ID docs in general want nothing to do with lyme and go so far as to interfere with treatment, under treat etc. So yeah for me or anyone else who can find someone with a heart, and not go broke.
