My doctor just prescribed it in order to keep the bicillin(through weekly injections) in my system longer.

I tried to do a search, but found limited information.

I did find some info that suggested that probenecid prevents abx from reaching the blood/brain barrier//

any information would be greatly appreciated..

Same doctor prescribes plaquenil to be taken with my Biaxin.
