The more research I do, the more confused I get.

I understand that the CDC has established criteria for positive Western Blots, namely that certain bands have to be present in IgG or IgM tests.

What I don't understand is why some bands will test REACTIVE and some others NON-REACTIVE. Reactive to what?

My tests came back positive for Lyme Disease, but only one of the three bands identified with IgM is showed as being reactive. Does that tell me anything?

I believe it's reactive to the borrelia antibodies.
