I have a friend who is a nurse practitioner. She has been very interested in our treatment and she is willing to watch and learn as we go.

We are now at the end of month 4 of doxy and lots of supplements and she has begun to question why it is taking so long for us to recover. I have tried to explain but she has more questions than I can answer.

Is there medical research that is available, that speaks to the intractable nature of Lyme and the rationale for long term antibiotic treatment? I would love to be able to pass these along to her.

She is not hostile. I feel she is tucking this info away for future patients that she sees, but she wants to understand.

I have given her copies of Dr. Burcassio's (spelling) protocol and other research as I find it.

I am grateful for any links etc. that could help educate her. Thanks

You can also give her a copy of the ILADS treatment guidelines. Think they are on the internet somewhere. Try the ILADS website.

Thanks for all the great info. I've printed some out for her and will probably give her the links posted here as there is a lot of support in the literature.

Again thanks
