It will be very difficult to answer with certainty. For many diseases where autoimmune processes are suspected Flu shots should be avoided.
Your call, but it may worse your situation.
It may also do no harm.

My LLMD told me to get it but left it up to me. I got it 2 different times. It shouldnt lower immune system because its already lowered by lyme.As long as the flu shot is from a safe batch. It should cause the immune system to react to the vaccine, vacines are dead or severely weakend germs its like giving your immune system a heads up call.

Still your choice the last flue shot given out this year was limited in quanity thats why I didnt get one this year. I havent caught the flu yet.

Your choice.

If anything, any kind of immunization should do exactly the opposite: kick your immune system into high gear. This is how I went into remission (received a series of routine immunuzations courtesy of the NJ Army National Guard).

I remember my LLMD mentioning to me some years ago that some (but NOT all) of her LD patients reported feeling better as a result of flu shots.

But you would still want to ask your LLMD if a flu shot would be OK in your particular case.

If your immune system is already challenged by Lyme, it doesn't need an assault on another front, IMO.

Not to mention the metals in those shots - aluminum and/or mercury - not good for anyone, and on the "avoid" list in our house.

We take a big pass on flu shots.

You must do as you think best for you.

I pass on the "mercury shots" too! Check out past discussions on flu shots by clicking on the little blue word "search" in the upper right hand corner of this page.

All vaccines are preserved with mercury. I pass.

That is unfortunately - correct. Flu shots still are based on mercury preservative and certain number of your brain cell will die after the vaccination.

Some people may argue that plenty will survive and you won't notice, but ...

I think it depends on the person and their genetics.

Today all people are given immunizations for various things without consideration to their individual genetics.

This will change the more we know about the genome. Then we will have specific vaccines for individuals.
