I started using Psyllium capsules. I hate drinking that stuff. Has anyone used the caps? If so are they as good as drinking it?

Also, should you take it away from your other supplement? It seems like it may soak everything up.

I took the caps for years before I was diagnosed with Lyme. They work fine, you just have to take a lot. But no slime going down.

My osteopath says to take it with probiotics to help them stick around long enough to reproduce. I don't know about anything else, but I do take it away from antibiotics just in case it affects absorption.

Personally, I think it should be used once in awhile. I believe that it will absorb some of the antibiotics. Why I say this is because it sticks to the walls of the intestines, and when the antibiotics go into our systems, some of the antibiotic gets absorbed by the psyllium that has stuck to the intestines.

I have been told by a few to not take the psyllium. Also had a dream telling me to not take it, a HUGE not written in my dream.

I believe it may be fine off medication, but not while on it. Even if it is taken hours away from the medication.

I feel it would be ok to take it for several days with benotonite, get the colon cleane of toxic yeast, then off it.

Do the psyllium bentonite mixure for 5 days or so once every couple months. I believe
raw food from vegies can sweep the colon clean.

Psyllium is known to cause allergy to it after prolong use.

I also suspect that it may bind oral medication and make ineffective, so be careful.
Psyllium is slightly effective in lowering cholesterol but it is not as good as for example Questran.

I would like also to warn others that consumption of dry Psyllium may be dangerous as it my choke you by sudden expansion in your passages or stuck in your oesophagus.
It always have to be well diluted with water.

I prefer the psyllium husks & seeds, not the capsules. Drinking down a mix of psyllium with a little bentonite clay and lots of water is a great intestinal healer and it gently takes the yeast with it as it departs the body. It does go through the body relatively quickly.

Drink this away from antibiotics by a couple of hours.

It is one of the things that has most helped me with yeast and diarrhea.

I am not sure in what sense it compares to Questran, as this mixture is mostly used for leaky gut, IBS and Candida. I also don't think you would ever take it dry. All labeling says to be taken with water or juice. Can't imagine trying to swallow dry psyllium.
