Hi all,

I was diagnosed last summer with late stage Lyme. I've been on Doxy, and now have been on Mepron, Zithromax and Ceftin. All this since July 04.

I have been herxing all the time, and some symptoms are worsening. The chronic pain at first in my low back and hips, is now in every joint and all over the body.

Yesterday my LLMD told me he thought I should go on the Marshall Protocol. He is weaning me off all antibiotics in a thoughtful manner and starting me on the MP with Benicar. He says once we get the inflamation and pain under control we will add lower doses of antibiotics.

He feels I have a systemic inflamation that we need to address first. I have thought for a long time that my immune system is almost non existent...but I am not a doctor!

I hope someone with experience in the Marshall Protocol will come on here and give me some help. I've been on the MP web site but can only absorb a little at a time.

What has your experience been? What might you suggest about the NOIR glasses. There are so many to choose from.

If someone with a complicated case of Lyme has a success story around the MP please do share. I'm hopeful and open, but cautious.

I appreciate any imput from you guys and gals. There is a lot of depth of experience in this community.

Thanks,
Ann

WELCOME To LYMENET

Here's more goodys! A typical response to newcomers.

Hi and WELCOME! Get a LLMD or at least Dr that is willing to learn about lyme. Borrelia Burgdorferi is a clinical diagnosis, based on symptoms and on your response to treatment. Good Luck, bumpy road ahead.

Post for a LLMD in Seeking a Doctor. Ps remember I am not a Dr, just a fellow sufferer.

Ann, I believe it's JULIE who has posted her ongoing MP in medical...think it's titled something Julie's progress on Marshall Protocol.

Do a search on MP spelled out & you should see anyone else's story about this.

I love my NOIR 901 and 907! Buy them direct from Noir & don't go thru anyone else..eye wear store. They charged me $10-14 more & gave NO discount. Noir will give MP folks 20-25% off!

If you go to MP OFF topic site, you can read my story of my NOT being on MP as prescribed.

You can read what my LLMD put me on & how I've reacted to things.

Be sure to print off Treepatrol's newbie links, check off what you read as there are months of reading there.

Print off DR. BARRASCANO's lyme treatment guidelines; it was 38 pages for me. Become familiar with it...keep handy to read over & over.
Best wishes. Betty G., Iowa

Thanks Treepatrol and Bettyg,

I haven't posted too much but I've been on this site for a while. I'm very familiar with a lot of your site suggestions and have printed many of them for my edification.

Thanks Betty for the tip on the Noir glasses. That was helpful. I will look up your story. I've done an MP search. Because of my eyes and headaches I can't stay on too long.

I'm still hoping more will come along and share their personal experiences so I can learn more of what to expect.

Best to both of you,
Ann
