Hi all,

Well just finished up my first month on the IV Rocephin and had the blood drawn and My follow up with the Dr. So far I have had a few positive results, more alert, less in a fog, not as slow mentally and physically, more spring in my walk and stride. Muscles seem a bit stronger and my facial parlaysis is getting better ( able to laugh easier).

The Dr wants to increase my Rocephin intake from 2 g's per day ( 4 on 3 off) to 3g's per day and also wants me to start on Malarone.

I continue to have breathing problems and have had a low grade fever for 7+months now so he thinks it is a co-infection. I'm a little concerned taking Malarone and was wondering if you all had any feedback about it?. The pharmacist was also questioning the dosage of how it was prescribed

My blood work was also good other than my lymphocites are low, is this normal with lyme or is it because of the Rocephin? I left the office and forgot to ask. He wants me on the Rocephon for at least another 8 weeks...

Other than that fighting a sinus infection/cold aghh... one thing after another.

Hope all is well
Kind regards
Jeannine

Hi jocon63,

I'm so glad you are doing better.

I am currently taking Malarone, Zithromax and Plaquenil. So far it's working good for me and helping my Babesia symptoms.
I also have had breathing problems on and off, it getting better though.

Hang in there it gets better, but it's usually one step up and two steps back with these diseases.
