I am dealing with a sudden extremely depressive state. Wondering if this could be caused by the reatment yesterday.

I was not depressed right after the treatment. But here...the next day I am wayyyyyyyyyy down.......and then some.

Oh, Robi, I'm so sorry to hear it. Hang tight, it should wear off.

Phosphatidylcholine is associated with depression, both to relieve it AND to intensify it. Go figger. I did a quick google on it, and found a number of references. Here's one:

WebMD
Cautions

# Because individual phosphatidylcholine, lecithin, or choline supplements can increase levels of acetylcholine, they should not be used by individuals who are suffering from bipolar disorder. High levels of acetylcholine can worsen the "depressive" phase of this condition.

# Consult your doctor before taking phosphatidylcholine if you suffer from depression; it may worsen your condition.

I do have one friend whose blood coagulation problem seemed to be related to the phosphatidylcholine IV. There's not much info on this with regards to this aspect of IV phosphatidylcholine. She did several treatments before she had coagulation problems. Don't want to worry you,
and I think it's rare, but its something to be aware of.

Hugs, hope you feel better soon. So frustrating!

Son extremely depressed and anxious. GABA works same as Xanax ***without "side effects" of the Rx version, we were told.

1 pill really takes the edge off.

Pills contain:

niacin 500% RDA, B6 500% RDA, pantothenic acid 1000% RDA, GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) and glycine.

Of course,we are using Mg...slow release too and have had to temporarily up his Ritalin (which increases plasma, not RBC, level of Mg). He crashes when 1st dose (extended release) wears off). Also using selenium (at levels BELOW RDA) to help reduce cytokines...in this case gamma interferon and to protect his brain from stroke.

Until the tests come back...

I think he came into contact with listeria - food poisoning. Cholesterol knocks out this pathogen. Hence his huge drop in cholesterol (only 92). His body maybe trying to fight. (Some ketones in his urine too...ketones INactivate PFK).

Going out to get coconut oil today...

another strange one...the above nutrient can raise cholesterol and can lower it!

Thanks Minoucat for that info. I was not aware of this! I was considering it. Not now!

Wow - I had been taking choline to help my liver and getting headaches about a half hour later. I am also suffering from depression and taking citaloprim for it.Think I'll drop the choline and stick with milk thistle.
