Hi all,

I've had this off and on, and think it's probably something from lyme. I have Bell's Palsy and left sided body weakness.
So I'm thinking it is a nerve thing.

I've noticed that when I'm feeling especially crummy, like the last few days...
It feels like a bee stings me on different spots on my feet and ankles.

I swear if it was Summer and I was outside I would think there was a real bee on me stinging!

The only thing that kind of relieves it is if I put a lot of pressure on the particular spot. Then it goes away.

Does anyone else have this??
Thanks

Not really in my feet, but virtually everywhere else.

Yes, I have had these sensations for a long time and the ducks have tried many different anti seizure meds to correct it but nothing was effective....crawling skin sensations at times also....it's definitely assoc., with lyme and has got to be a CNS issue.......

I don't know if this will be a residual side effect that is permanent or not....with time they've lessened but I still get them...................hang in there.....zman

Hi

I will be sitting there and all of a sudden i get a sting/bite like sensatation usually in the legs or the head. I jump out of my skin and usually let out a yelp.

I must have been getting this off/on for like 20 years.

This is a symptom of thyroid disease--which the lyme will cause.

Remember you need tree tests-- get your:

TSH,
t3, and
t4 tested.

I feel the sting in different places. Last week I felt one on the back of my leg and could have sworn a bee was stinging me....not likely at 6 degrees!

I also have noticed more static shocks, I was wondering if was related to my screwed up electricals in my nervous system.

Yes, I get them. They seem to be fewer and farther between since I've been off abx for a few months.

Hi ArtnSoul,

You might try researching Alpha Lipoic Acid
which is for nerve pain or neuropathies.

It can be rather pricey, so be sure you look for the R-Lipoic Acid form of alpha lipoic acid. This is suppose to be about 10 times stronger than the "s-lipoic acid form" which is what many health food stores sell.

I know some on Lymenet use www.iherb.com
& they do carry several brands of the R-form.

For information on alpha lipoic acid & how it works, go to:
http://www.ralapure.com/?s=g&p=rala

Take Care,
Jan
