How do I come down with the flu when I am taking zithromax, plaqunil and flagyl? I thought I would be protected from anything with all the medicine I am on! could the flu actually be a herx? got all the aching and stuff to but also stuffy head cough chest hurts.

The weird thing is I feel like and look like I am burning up with fever my face is all red and I feel like I am burning up with a fever but there is no fever.

guess like everything else it has to run its course and I will moan and complain in the process.
Sorry gang,
stacie

It could be a herx but you may be getting sick as well. Im on pretty strong stuff and I had a pretty bad case of bronchitis for a while- I thought the same thing. I think the lyme drops our immune systems and the abx only brings some of us up to normal. So yeah you could be getting the flu- yet the beat redness all over sounds like Lyme.

The flu is a virus and abx don't work on viruses. If you are beet red and feel like you have fever....and don't....it's probably a herx. I used to do that alot when herxing. Sorry you're so miserable. Hope it lets up soon!

Ask your doctor for a prescription for this ASAP. It's an antiviral and works during the first 48 hours after developing flu symptoms.

Antibiotics do not work on viruses. Amantatide can help if taken right awy when influenza starts.

make sure you are taking probiotics!

I guess I havent done it very well its probaly a herx because of the flagyl opening cysts to the other abx's especially every 28 to 34 days cycle.

I mistook my big herx's for the flu for three months then it donned on me I was begining these flu symptoms every month.

At first it was harder for me to understand because I was almost continually herxing.

Why you ask I had three strains cycleing at three different times.
Once I got down to one strain it became evident that I was herxing every 28 to 34 days.

Flu? huh uh Doubtful

The flu is a virus. Antibiotics will not protect you.

However, the flu can turn into Pneumonia which is then bacterial.

I have to agree with dullchine, lymetoo and treepatrol. I think it is a HERX. I got to thinking and about 3 and 1/2 weeks ago I had the flu then to! I even ran a fever it just climbed right up to almost 105 then bam it dropped out on me and I had the cruds for a few days then got better.
This time if I have a fever it isn't getting very high but I am red hot to the touch at times and ache all over. I do have a l ittle congestion but I think that is just a weather thing. SO I think I am in a herx. Normally my herxes are a LOT more severe pain wise and such so I guess this is a sign I might be improving?
If it looks like a herx and acts like a herx then I guess I am in a herx.
Stacie
