I started zithromax this week and can't recall how I am to take these. I tried calling my LLMD but his voice mail is full.

The card says to take 2 the first day and then one the next 4 days and then wait from day 7 to 10.

I am on day 5 so I am not sure if I need to continue to take one today or not. I will continue to try and contact my lyme doc. Hopefully, the voice mail will not be full today.

In the meantime, I was just curious as to what dosage others with lyme on zithromax are taking.

Thanks.

I think everyone is different and I would wait until you talk to your LLMD. For example, I take zithromax every day (500 mg).

I take zith 1 tablet 2 times a day, every day. Also am taking mepron 1 teas. 2x a day, every day.

I am curious as to the wide protocols for antibiotics we all have. I know we are all different but it amazes me the types, amounts, and durations of rx. our LLMDs prescribe for the same disease/co-infections.

I have a question to ask back. Please forgive if I am improperly attaching this to your very specific post.

For example: From reading here, I know I should be taking supplements, especially magnesiusm. But what to take? Mag. citrate, oxide, or just pure. With or without calcium, SR-tab, with or away from antibiotics, only IM shots will be adequate.

I end up so confused that I don't take anything except my probiotics. My LLMD says just drink lots of milk and yogart. Others here suggest no milk.

I trust and appreciate the advice here, because you-all have had this disease a long time and have learned through trial and error.

Anyone else having the same problem or is it just me?

If you are seeing Dr. H, his voicemail is usually full Monday and sometimes into Tuesday. I have tried faxing the office if I needed something but didn't want to call his cell.

I can't help you on doseage because I take 400mg a day.

Joe

The fax idea is a good one. I will type things out and fax them. I was able to leave a message this am, but it is so difficult at times for me to talk and think and communicate this way. I like the fax idea better. The problem with that is I need to be strong enough to get to the local store to fax things. I purchased a used fax from a person and it didn't work. It is amazing how obstacles that I didn't think twice to overcome before this are now so much difficult to deal with. Which one to deal with first is the common question of the day and when will I be able to deal with it.

RE: Milk. I too was told not to cut out diary. It does seem to be a good idea for me.

I tried Soy Milk for a while. I also tried Goat's Milk for a while. Rice Milk. Etc. Etc.

I haven't found a favorite yet.

RE: Supplements. I asked my doc about magnesium shots. He told me the symptoms that go along with those who need the shots or IV. I didn't have those symptoms. I am sorry but I can't recall what they were.

I, too, am just taking a multivitamin and acidopholus at this time. I know I need to take a cold water fish oil supplement but have not ordered it again. The mind has trouble choosing which ones to go with or even having the strength to choose and follow through on the order. I have to wait until that window of opportunity.

I know there was more that I wanted to respond to but it is afternoon and I still haven't had breakfast. I need to recover and then try to eat something. I am going through a low functioning period but at least well enough to be on line.

I haven't taken meds today either so mind is a little bit clearer right now.

It does look like I need to take the zithromax daily and forget what it says on the card. Hopefully, I will hear from the doc
soon.

Since he is battling lyme disease himself and the medical field that does not support lyme disease, I am always concerned when things go a long time before hearing from his office.

Lyme docs are much needed but he does need to take care of his health first.

I cut back on the mepron. It was too much for me to take one teaspoon twice a day. I am amazed at how some things in very small quantities can affect the body so much and mind.

Same with artimicin. I lowered it also in order to survive and keep it in the program.

The heat waves certainly lessened now that I am back on the meds.

I am waking up with what I call the rubber band headache though. Thankfully, excedrin helps cover it up. I need to buy stock in that product.

I take 500 mg (2 of the little pills) every other day for one week, then wait 2 weeks and again.
