I've had a terrible time getting Mega-glutathione caps lately. I use TwinLab brand.
I ordered what I thought was my usual from a new source and received NOW brand instead. It works just as well and is cheaper to boot 60 capsules for $18.59! www.natureshealthshoppe.com
Hope this comes in handy for someone. No I don't work for this company...yadda,yadda

Gigi...are you a doctor? On second thought, a doctor would not have such comprehensive knowledge!

Lyma...
My LLMD wrote a script for glutathione nasal spray for me. It works...but is very expensive. Glad you posted because I will try the pills! Last time I saw him I was in a lot of pain...joints...and got an IV of glut. I could not get over how much better I felt afterwards!

Lyma Bean,

Have you checked the prices at:
www.vitacost.com

I thought glutathione was taken by IV. Do the capsules work?

My kids' LLMD recommended N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) because it boosts the levels of glutathione.

The glutathione caps work, but (according to my LLMD) only if you open up the capsule and empty the powder under your tongue, then let it dissolve for a minute or 2 before swallowing.

Just swallowing the capsule whole apparently doesn't work too well ... the body absorbs it better sublingually.

My LLMD also has me on NAC. I take extra glutathione when starting new parasite regimens, when getting detox treatments, of when I'm feeling worse for some reason.

Hope this helps!

Somalimom

Hi Ya'll!

Somalimom is correct you have to empty the capsule under your tongue for it to be effective. We used it in the Samento study to reduce herxes and I've been using it ever since. It's a simple, inexpensive detoxifier
Try it- you'll like it

Chlorella, for instance, dramatically increases reduced glutathione, plus a whole host of other good things. Read my post of yesterday about the benefits of chlorella - it has multiple health inducing effects.

Thanks Lyma Bean - you're the 2nd Lymenetter to like the NOW Reduced Glutathione. I looked for it, but the small store didn't carry it. I went ahead & got the NAC by NOW that I swallow.

The only Reduced Glutathione I found was Source Naturals which was a capsule that I open & take sub-lingually. It works, too.

Nan - I take the RX Nasal Spray Glutathione, too. What works in our advantage is that the Compounding Pharmacist can only garuntee potency for 15 days.

So I only paid $32 for 15 day supply. Just my opinion, but I don't think it really goes bad in 15 days. (My RX is to use 2 sprays four times daily).

Anyway, you can try it & see if you like it without having to pay $64------because they will only fill 15 days at a time. I'm taking it for my left ear nerve pain & brain.

Gigi---
I definitely am going to work up to taking Chlorella. Pre-lyme diagnosis, it hurt my nerves (everything did). So I guess I need to retry it & see what happens.

Take Care,
Jan

would the amino acids from Pilgrim's Pride work just as well?
they are having their sale, buy two get three free. I stocked up on aminos but no NaC
or gluthaimine as I was told it wouldn't work well orallly...but perhaps crushing it does work.

Gigi or anyone else,

Would Chlorella help with closed-angle glaucoma/cataracts? I am also taking oil of oragino. I just started taking both about a week ago. My arthritis symptoms have increased greatly, plus lots of migraine headaches. Thanks for any replies.

Corinne
