I noticed that for the past 6 months I've been getting freckles between the size of a period(.) and a lower case "o" on my arms and face.I have very bad neuro lyme and I read somewhere that the freckles are from neuro toxins trying to escape.Maybe I'm just very confused but I think I read that somewhere. If that's true then shouldn't the fact that I am getting these freckles be a good thing? Is this related to lyme?Is it something I should be worried about?

Hyperpigmentation has been described as a side effect of some drugs. I think minocin and doxy are both offenders. What drug treatment are you on?

I've been on about 5 different antibiotics.I was on doxy for about 2 months.I have been on ketek the longest. The freckles don't hurt or anything.I'm not very worried about them.I just want to make sure that it isn't a sign of something bad.Thank you.

There was a fairly long discussion about this within the last few months. I bet if you do a search for something like freckles or brown spots you will find the thread. There was a lot of interesting stuff in it.
