I read this post from you in Dec: Are you still doing good? Did you mean to say that you were taking 500mg Tini 2 X a day, or is it really 1000mg 2X a day? That's an awful lot. As for the protocol I was given by my LLMD, I have been on 1,000mg of Tinidazole 2x's a day with Biaxin 500 mg 2x's a day for about 7 months.
Then we switched out the Biaxin for Ceftin while keeping the Tini going strong.
After about 6 months we swapped the Ceftin out for Biaxin XL 500mg 2x's a day while still keeping the Tini.
6 months later (19 months into it) we swapped out the Biaxin XL for Ketek 800mg a day while still keeping the Tini. Last October I started tapering off and have been off of them now altogether for about a month plus a bit.

A friend of mine brought this to my attention....sorry about not replying faster!
Yes, I was on 1,000mg of Tinidazole 2x's a day right from the get go, no working my way up and it was the herx from hell for the first while but I feel it was worth it.
I'm still doing good! Going to my kickboxing/gungfu 3 times a week, doing my detoxifying constantly and I now sleep better than ever since I've started a naturopathic Thyroid protocol, despite the fact that my thyroid tests were said to be normal.
Thanks for asking!
Happy Valentines all!

Good for you! I still can't believe you were taking 2000 mg a day! That's the max dose for tini, and is only for a short period of time like 2 weeks. You were taking it for almost 2 yrs. Wow
Do you thinkthat you made the best progress with Ketek and Tini?

Hi, sorry about ignoring you again, been pretty busy lately and I assure you it wasn't on purpose.
If you'd like to e-mail me, I'm at [email protected] and I'd be happy to hear from you!
I think the reason I could manage the high doses of Tini is because of my efforts in detoxifying and supplimenting, diet and exercise when I could.
There has been a lot of good reports on Ketek and Tini but again I think it depends on the individual circumstances. Apparently if you're having heart problems, Ketek is not a good idea but I have nothing medical to back that up.
