hi all

am considering a trip to British Columbia this summer and fall. In the summer I would be out in the sticks horseback riding or hiking.

I'd also visit Vancouver and Victoria.

is this area rife with ticks, or not?

thanks!

I live on Vancouver Island BC, Ticks are rare but both Victoria and Nanaimo (an hour+ away) have some people who were diagnosed with lyme from a LLMD. I'm one...

If you come through Nanaimo this summer, please drop by for a visit.

Yes indeedy, we do have ticks as well. But welcome, if you do come this way. The island is so beautiful...

You might want to go to: http:/www.canlyme.com and check out our Canadian lyme info. (Don't know how to make it an easy link to click on. Sorry. Type canlyme.com into google.)

I'm a transplant from Kentucky...can remember pulling ticks off my dog and myself nightly (but that was MANY MANY years ago.)Don't remember ever worrying about BB then....how times (and ticks?)change.

Y'all come on out! Be glad to meet you if you come to Victoria
