I have a "very small" spot on one lung (scar??), normal CT otherwise, breathless on overcast or rainy days, excellent lung function. Sound familiar to anyone? Just came off Biaxin for 1 mo. which made me sick as a dog. Feel better now except for the breathlessness which was there before the Biaxin.

Hello,

I have breathing problems, lung problems.
Inhalers never helped, made me worse.

I have been on antibiotics for about 14 months, have had lyme about 16 years or so.
First timme treatment.

My lungs were the worst, and have been helped. Actually if it were not for the antibiotics I would not be writing this.
My lungs are affected by lyme or some other bacteria.

What I can tell you about having the breathing worse on humid, rainy days is
CANDIDA.

Not always, but many times if you are worse in rainy weather, this points to a candida overgrowth.

My tolerance to rainy weather went to 0 after long term antibiotics. I had candida before I went on antibiotics, and even though all the years of treatment for it, I now believe I have never been able to
keep it under control is because LYME has been lowering my immune system soooooo much.

I had old viruses in fact come out when my lyme was so terrible. Once on antibiotics the herpes was back in remission.

What I can suggest is the candida diet, but that alone will NOT help most with a candida infecction.
Nystatin has been really helpful for me.
Maybe try this first, and if no success try diflucan or a herbal antifungal.

If you have had candida a long time, you may need the nystatin for a year or more.

A very interesting site I was on before was a woman, a ND who had MS, and for her, it was because of a candida overgrowth.
She went on nystatin for 2 years, 3 pills a day. She got well.

A good probiotic as well, one with NO FOS in it is what I recommend if your candida is out of hand. Some do ok with FOS, but some do not. So, to save time and money on trial and error here, buy one without FOS in it.

Check out The Yeast Connection by William Crook MD, it is bright Yellow, and very good. Tells of the dosage of the nystatin.

For some, like myself, I had to start off with one nystatin a day and work up.
Each pill is 500,000 IU's.
Some think their candida is under control, when in fact it may not be.... a trial of nystatin can really help some.

I thought my candida was fine, I was on a herbal for it, and when I went back on nystatin, WOW! now, that is when the candida for me got much better.

For me, I believe once the lyme is better, the candida will be able to be kept under control.

Trish

My husband was treated for an increase in tubercle baciilli sometime during his overall treatment. It showed up with muscle testing and from what I am told other patients have to be treated for it as well.
All part of Lyme. Treatment is easy and fairly short for most.
